The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point has announced the new dean of the College of Fine Arts and Communication (COFAC). Stuart Benkert, formerly head of Performing Arts and Technology at North Carolina State University, will begin July 14. Benkert succeeds Valerie Cisler, who is retiring after serving as dean for eight years. Explore all the outdoor fun the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point’s Schmeeckle Reserve has in store this summer. Schmeeckle Reserve will host two “Nature Explorers” day camps June 16-26 and July 7-17 for children entering 3rd-6th grade. These camps will lead hands-on activities, including child-centered discovery hikes, wildlife watching, catching frogs and other pond animals, canoeing in the lake and more. Each camp will run Monday through Thursday from 1-4 p.m. for two weeks. Registration is $150

A new, free mobile app has been launched at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point to support campus safety and connections for all UW-Stevens Point students, faculty, staff, families and guests on and around campus.
